At Tiny Stays, we offer more than just a place to sleep - we create off-grid escapes that help you slow down, unplug, and reconnect with nature and each other. This thoughtfully designed tiny house is powered by the sun and perched high on a ridge near Metcalfe, just 15 minutes from Kyneton and 20 mins to Castlemaine.
Here, you’ll wake to panoramic views and breathe in crisp country air. Watch the sky change from dawn to dusk, explore the vibrant food scene in Kyneton, hike the local bushland or simply enjoy quiet moments with a book and a cup of tea. Take in complete privacy at this tiny house. It's a peaceful place to pause and reflect.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need: a comfy queen bed with soft linens, a full kitchen with fridge and stovetop, a hot shower, composting toilet, and a stash of books and board games. There’s also a BBQ and a firepit (seasonal) for evenings under the stars.

Access to our Castlemaine property requires you to walk 100 mtrs from the gate to reach the house.

Just what the doctor ordered
Both my fiance and I work very high stress and fast paced jobs, between trying to keep fit, plan a wedding, renovate a home and still find a way to keep the spark alive the tiny stays recommendation couldn’t have at a better time! The views are surreal, the house has everything you need… and more! And the town, what incredible hidden gems. Although we had 1 degree nights, hot water bottles and extra blankets kept us warm! We cooked all our meals between the bbq and the fully equipped kitchen. Finishing our evenings by the fire and appreciated the smaller things. We haven’t stopped raving about our weekend away and cannot wait to book in our next tiny stay!
All the nature!
Honestly had an amazing time!!! We got to enjoy all the animals and nature with our little pug. So clean and away from anyone!
Immersed into nature
We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful tiny home! The perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and really immerse yourself in nature and disconnect. It was very easy to find the tiny home and check in was super simple. Everything was clean and tidy and well stocked with everything you could need. Location is close to the town center and a blueberry winery which has delicious wine and nibbles. Also close to badger creek picnic ground which was stunning. 100% recommend staying at this beautiful tiny home!
Perfect place to disconnect
Such a beautiful spot! The perfect place to disconnect without being too remote. The house itself is super cute and exactly as shown in the photos. It feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere yet you’re only a short drive from town. Was a bit worried about being cold at night but the bed is super comfy and warm! Would love to come back some day.
Absolute bliss
We had our first ever tiny home stay here on the 27th of October, and OMG IT WAS AMAZING!!! Everything was beautiful and even though you are staying only 5 minutes from the township, it is so quiet and peaceful. We have never felt more relaxed and content. Thank you again for making this beautiful home available to experience! 🩷🩷
Relaxing weekend in nature
Lovely place for a weekend away, the tiny house is thoughtfully set up, with everything you could need. And Healesville is a short drive away. Thanks for a wonderfully relaxing weekend in nature.
Surrounded by forest
Was so lovely to wake up surrounded by forest each morning! Had a great time snuggled up playing Monopoly Deal and taking in the views. So close to everything Healesville and the Yarra Valley has to offer, particularly as it was the Fireside Festival during our stay!
Wow
We are a mature couple. I wanted a something different to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. Well I hit the nail on the head booked a getaway at Healesville forest tiny house it was perfect. We loved every minute staying in this gorgeous place It had everything and more you could wish for. A truly amazing experience. We would highly recommend it. Love love loved it. Will definitely be back. Thanks Aimee Ben and Alex for creating this fabulous place x
Beautiful location
Clean, cosy and cute! Everything you need is supplied, lots to do nearby and the surroundings are AMAZING. Such a beautiful place. Our only regret is not booking an extra night 😍 would go back in a heartbeat!
